¡Feliz Día Mamá!

Buenas tardes,

I hope you are all doing well! This week has been a great one! Of course, one of the highlights was skyping with the family yesterday! It was great to see everyone, and it is a bit strange to think that I will be back with them in less than a month. But thankfully my family wasnt too trunky, so I am still motivated to just keep working hard.

This week we were able to be in our sector more which was great. The only special event was on Thursday when we went to Rancagua to do exchanges with the assistants. It was nice to be close to my previous sector, previous companion, and the office for the day. I was with Elder Vasquez for the day. He is a great fun and we have somehow been close by to each other for almost the entire mission. We had a good day in Rancagua.

In our own sector, things are going well too. This week we somehow found lots of part-member families, with investigators and less active members. They have great potential to accept the Gospel and follow Jesus Christ, so we are really excited about that. On Saturday we decided to just visit a member and we discovered that he lives with 5 siblings, his mom, and his step-dad. We shared a brief message with them and we are going to go back today. Hopefully they will have interest to learn more about the Gospel. This week we also found two new investigators from Haiti. They are really nice guys. They live in very humble conditions and are working here to hopefully be able to support their families in Haiti. One of them hardly speaks Spanish, so the other helps us translate. Honestly, I get really tounge-twisted in the lessons because there are usually two or three languages going around haha. We also found some old investigators who are listening to us again.

So things are going well. We had high hopes that lots of investigators and less actives would come to church yesterday, but we didnt get the results we expected. So this week we will be back at it to try and get more people to church. The zone has also really improved in this week, and today we had a great Pday that should help motivate us all for the next week. On Friday we have interviews with President, which will be great.

Mi Cumpleaños!

Wow, yesterday was a birthday I won't forget! It was actually a pretty great day. All my teachers and people in my district are so loving and kind. Hermana Doll gave me 6 of her famous home-made cookies, and those have been delicious. My morning teacher Hermana Jimenez wished me a happy birthday about 100 times. And it was one of the teacher's birthdays yesterday, so I got a slice of his cake! But something really out of the ordinary that happened on my birthday was that I got a new companion. That normally doesn't happen until a transfer date (every six weeks) so it was pretty strange. One of the elders in our district had to be moved from our district, so they split up my trio companionship and put me with the lone elder. My new companion's name is Elder Nolan, and he is a great guy. He knew literally no Spanish before coming here, and has progressed a lot. Conference

There's this program at Church where we learn things then we act upon them. So start by learning what you need to do. The World Today

Everywhere you ever look today, the world is changing. Where many sins were shunned and horrific, they are right before our eyes today. Sin and squalor are all around at almost all angles. At some times, one can feel as if there is no hope and we are consigned to the woe around us, but that is not true. The truth is that the rising generation is the hope.
