Hello,

It has been a crazy week here. I guess the stereotype for the Christmas season is being very busy all the time. I never really understood that before because when you are a kid it is probably the least busy time of year. But in the office we have had a lot to do! Starting next week we have zone conferences and we have prepared nursing homes for everyone to go sing to during the 8 conferences. Also we finished up our slideshow video recapping the year and it really turned out great. Elder Sawyer played a custom piano accompaniment and I hope all the missionaries enjoy it. Besides all of that we have had to jump through hoops here in Rancagua to get some visas done. My companion also somehow got the idea to buy an electronic piano and amp to use for the Christmas conferences so we spent some time researching and buying that. Add in a trip north to Santiago on Tuesday and a one night stay down south in Talca on Thursday and it has been a very busy week!

But the true importance of Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ of course. He was and is our perfect example of serving others. He is the light of the world, and so are we when we follow Him. This Christmas amidst all the hustle and bustle we are sharing with everyone how they can #LightTheWorld. On mormon.org you can find 25 ways to serve others in the first 25 days of December. Take the time to look this over and think of how you can be a light to everyone else. I know that God is the father of all of us, so He loves each and every one of us. He wants us to serve one another, and when we do so we are in His service.

Wow, yesterday was a birthday I won't forget! It was actually a pretty great day. All my teachers and people in my district are so loving and kind. Hermana Doll gave me 6 of her famous home-made cookies, and those have been delicious. My morning teacher Hermana Jimenez wished me a happy birthday about 100 times. And it was one of the teacher's birthdays yesterday, so I got a slice of his cake! But something really out of the ordinary that happened on my birthday was that I got a new companion. That normally doesn't happen until a transfer date (every six weeks) so it was pretty strange. One of the elders in our district had to be moved from our district, so they split up my trio companionship and put me with the lone elder. My new companion's name is Elder Nolan, and he is a great guy. He knew literally no Spanish before coming here, and has progressed a lot. Conference

Hey remember this post post about changing your life? If you don't you better read it! Anyway, I was serious in that post. If you're not completely happy with your life, sit down right now and write ten ways to improve your life. That's what I did! But this brings up the question, how do I change my life? There's this program at Church where we learn things then we act upon them. So start by learning what you need to do. The ability to change your life probably isn't found in a textbook, but it can be found from men and women who are very close to God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormon) has many men and women like this, and they speak to the members of the Church twice a year for one weekend. The World Today

Everywhere you ever look today, the world is changing. Where many sins were shunned and horrific, they are right before our eyes today. Sin and squalor are all around at almost all angles. At some times, one can feel as if there is no hope and we are consigned to the woe around us, but that is not true. The truth is that the rising generation is the hope. We can be the best we want to be and make this world a better place. Think of your friends, your family, your potential, who you can become.
