Dios prepara a las personas

Hey everyone!

I hope you have had a great week, this week went really well for me (and went by very quickly!). One of the highlights of course was talking to my family via Skype yesterday for Mothers Day! Im glad that I had the chance to do that, and of course I am thankful for my eternal family.

This Wednesday I went on splits with Elder Edwards in San Fernando, and we had a super great day. Elder Edwards is from Alpine, Utah and only has two months left in the mission. I have known  him my whole mission, so we are good friends, and it was great to work with him. We  basically had planned to contact all day with the goal to get into at least one house. On our very last contact, we found a guy named Gastón, and he let us in! I was feeling pretty good once we got in, but then this guy completely surprised us. He just started talking about his beliefs and  brought up baptism by himself, and how he really likes that we should be baptised in the same way Jesus Christ was. He also said he has always been kind of interested by our Church. We taught about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and this guy was super ready to hear our message. He accepted a date to be baptised immediately and even asked if his family could be  baptised too. Yeah, of course!  At the end he told us that he felt kind of  uneasy all day, and he felt like someone was going to come to his house. He said he was walking around the house, looking out the window, etc and then we showed up. When we got there he was kind of sad and saying that there is no hope in the world, and by the end he was happy and  hopeful. Now I can truly saw that I know that God prepares people to hear the truth, and this guy was very prepared.

Well it was a good week here. I am working well with my companion Elder Shumway and we are helping people progress. Have a great week!

Elder Richards
